She began her career at HSBC as a Finance Officer, where she developed a strong foundation in financial operations, reconciliation, and compliance. She later joined Citibank, where she spent 10 years as a Fraud Risk Analyst and Subject Matter Expert, specialising in fraud detection, transaction monitoring, and risk management.

Bathmawathy’s core strengths include financial management, reconciliation, compliance, operational support, fraud detection, and Anti Money Laundering. She is known for her strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently in fast paced environments

She holds an MBA in Risk Management from Universiti Tun Abdul Razak, Malaysia and a degree in Accounting and Finance from University of Greenwich, United Kingdom.

She is a member of the National Autism Society of Malaysia and actively volunteers in initiatives supporting children with special needs.

Bathmawathy is fluent in English, Malay, Tamil, and Odia.

Outside of work, she enjoys gardening and is passionate about community and charity work.
