Webinar – What the New Skilling Australians Fund Levy Means for Employers and Sponsors

You’re invited to join our upcoming webinar: What the New Skilling Australians Fund Levy Means for Employers and Sponsors at 10 am, Tuesday 3rd September 2018

The Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) levy has replaced the previous Training Benchmark system for employer sponsored visas in Australia.

While the change has long been discussed the implementation has involved a number of speedbumps and a large volume of information. So what is the SAF levy? How does it work? And what will it mean for employer sponsors who use work visas in Australia?

This session will cover the key information employers and sponsors need to know about the new training system including:

  • The amendments to the Migration Act related to the SAF Act.
  • Discuss the requirements of the SAF Act, SAF Charges Act, and SAF Charges Regulations that commenced on 12 August 2018.
  • Explain Labour Market Testing and the SAF levy including refunds and transfers.

The session will run for 40 minutes followed by a question and answer session. The session is intended for employer sponsor representatives including HR, Global mobility staff, and others responsible for managing employer sponsored visa holders.
